TRANFORMING HOPE MINISTRY

Welcome to Cornerstone Church’s Transforming Hope Ministry!  It was started because Cornerstone was seeking God’s guidance as to where we should be looking for a mission project.  We did not have to look very far—the project came through our door.  We were contacted about a group of Burundi refugees who were looking for a Free Methodist Church.  This was the beginning of an amazing ministry right in our church.

*We now have mini buses to provide transportation.  

*Child care for all children before and after church.  Also there is Children’s Church during the worship service.

*Swahili translation of the worship service.                  *English classes following worship.

*Cooking classes & lunch.                 *A Burundi choir which sings every week during worship.

     *Developing friendships by spending time together, helping with transportation, shopping, etc.

Transforming Hope has become a real blessing to our congregation.  Even with all the challenges and the hard work and time involved, we feel blessed that God has provided us with this great opportunity to serve Him without having to leave the country to do it.  It is delightful to see the changes in all our lives because of this great opportunity.
